Textured Abstract Bluebonnet Painting by Texas Artist Niki Gulley

"Cobalt Cascade" ©2024 Niki Gulley

30" x 30" textured mixed media painting on 1.5" gallery wrap canvas with the scene continuing around the edges

I wanted this painting to be about the joy I feel in springtime when Texas wildflowers are bursting forth, creating their symphony of colors. Magical light flows around them casting its warm glow and hope for the upcoming day. As the sun illuminates the horizon, bluebonnets and a kaleidoscope of blooms sparkle and dance across the canvas. I hope "Cobalt Cascade" fills your heart with the power of nature to lift your spirits, energize your soul and bathe you in peace.

"Colors of Colmar" Palette Knife Painting by Contemporary Impressionist Niki Gulley

12" x 12" textured acrylic painting on canvas panel

Painted on location in the Alsatian town of Colmar, France,  the scenery was inspiring everywhere you looked. Straight out of a postcard, practically every view is storybook picture perfect. Today I set up my easel amongst the Russian sage and Black-eyed Susans to capture their joy and energy with a sliver of the cross-timbered architecture in the distance to set the stage.  I hope you are transported to this beautiful, magical place!

New Cheerful Rose Painting Series by Palette Knife Artist Niki Gulley

16" x 16" Textured Acrylic on Canvas • Framed in espresso

What a beautiful surprise to have these roses blooming in my garden this winter! Of course the next night it was supposed to freeze and I couldn't let these beauties go to waste. After cutting and assembling them in a vase, I just kept staring at them as they were bringing so much color and joy to the grey day. Despite several projects on my plate, I had to take a break and capture these rosy fleeting blooms. May they bring some vibrancy to your winter days, too.

These paintings look great hung alone or in a grouping.

For details on more of my roses, poppies, bluebonnets and sunflower paintings in this series, please e-mail Niki Gulley.
