Created with multiple layers of paint to develop texture and depth, I combined various techniques of dripping, splattering, pouring, sculpting and brushwork. These strokes are designed to evoke a feeling of spontaneity and joy, just like I experience when immersed a gorgeous field of smiling yellow faces. Full of energy, color and hope, these sunflowers leap off the canvas and invite you to share in their sunshine.
